Week 2. One of my favorite bloggers, Kristen, over at http://www.firstnamesmith.com/, started firm fridays last week so that we can get in shape for bikini season and hold each other accountable. So, my first week did not go as plan, but it wasn't a total failure. Here are my successes and failures this week:
Successes:
Took Yoga class Monday
Did not eat after 6:30pm
Used whole wheat pasta instead of regular
Used whole wheat bread instead of regular
Failures:
No crunches
No steps at work
Could not make it to bandercize or pilates classes
Ate 2 bags of whoppers and 1 heath bar
Drank 2 sodas a day instead of one (in my defense...sick kids = tired mommy)
On a positive note...I finally found a tankini that fits and looks appropriate. Ive only been searching for 2 years. Now I can go to Florida in a couple of weeks with a little more confidence.

According to my calculations....
-It takes 1 c-section to make your stomach turn into a giant fat roll, thus making bathing suit shopping a nightmare.
-It takes 29 years and planning 1 big fat Italian wedding to get your first wrinkle.
-It takes 3 minutes (or less) of silence to realize your kids are into something they shouldn't be (i.e....climbing on the kitchen table, climbing on the counter, playing in the toilet, etc.).
-It takes a miracle concealor (which I have yet to find) to cover the dark circles that you get from lack of sleep.
-It takes 5 minutes or less of conversation with your best friends from back home to realize how much you miss hanging out with them more than once a year.

SWW
-So what if I STILL can't figure out how to put a button or whatever it is called on my blog. Can someone help a girl out?
-So what if I am only watching the bachelor this season because Raven at http://www.amommasdesiresandpacifiers.com/ makes fun of it every week and it's hilarious.
-So what if I let my daughter sleep in our bed last night because I was too exhausted to keep putting her back in her bed. I know...it's a bad habit, but this was the first time in months she has stayed all night and I'm pretty sure she is sick again so I let it slide.
- So what if my 3 year old eats nuggets at least 4 days a week (and lunchables the other 3). At least she is eating.
- So what if my son refuses to come to me if my husband or my mom are around. I know he is a Daddy's boy right now, but kids go through these phases, right? He can't just hate me for no reason....I hope....

Paxton 18 Months *a day late

Happy 18 months to my handsome, sweet, little man.
You love climbing...you are a daredevil!
You love your big sister and try to do everything she does.
You give the best hugs and kisses, though right now, you are a total Daddy's boy.
You say Mama and Dada, but not often.
You wave, clap, and dance all of the time.
You love to play your keyboard, kick your soccer balls, and play with trucks.
You still refuse solid food.
You weigh approximately 26 lbs and wear size 18 month clothes and size 4 diaper.
You are amazing and wonderful. You have a contagious smile and we love you more than words could ever say.

If.....
-If our car had not been stolen on the morning of our wedding (true story), we would not have been able to afford a new kitchen (thanks home owners insurance)!
-If I had known what it meant when people said..."when you marry a man, you marry his family", I might have insisted we stay in Northern VA (just kidding---kind of).
-If I had not dated a bunch of total jerks, I would not have learned to truly appreciate the great guy I married.
-If I had given birth to twin girls, their names would have been Mia Kennedy and McKenzie Rosalie.
-If I had given birth to twin boys, their names would have been Parker Kennedy and Cooper (something).
If Paxton had been a girl, his name would have been Peyton McKenzie
-If I had not had a miscarriage in May 2009, I would not have Paxton.
-If I had free time, I would LOVE to volunteer at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, VA again. I loved feeling like I was making a difference and helping to bring those kids home. It is a cause I am really passionate about.
-If I were rich and could afford several nanny's and baby nurses, I'd adopt as many kids as I could so that I could give them a loving happy home to grow up in.
-If my daughter does not stop throwing tantrums....I may need to start drinking on a regular basis.
-If my son does not eat regular food soon (and take less than 1.5 hours to eat 1 meal, I may need to start drinking.
If I had time and money, I'd join the gym again. I miss working out. I feel less motivated at home--when I have the choice to sit my fat butt on the sofa and watch tv.
