bloglovin link

I have to say, I'm sad to see Google Reader go.  I used it daily, but....bloglovin is apparently where it's at now.  You can follow me here.

On another note...I hope everyone had a safe and happy St. Patrick's Day.  I'd love to tell you all about our fun and exciting weekend, but the fact is...we mainly just did work around the house.  I did do a sort of craft project this weekend...details and pictures coming soon!  I can't believe I didn't screw it up!

Happy Monday

Luck O' the Irish

Ok...maybe not such an accurate title since I'm not the luckiest person in the world, but I did recently find out that my Great Great Grandfather and Grandmother came over by boat from Ireland.  I thought that was really cool so this year, I will be celebrating my Irish heritage (maybe with a Margarita since I don't drink green beer).  Ok, don't judge, yes, it is Mexican (I think), but it's also green.
Are you Irish?  How do you celebrate?

a letter to my little man

Dear Paxton,
I felt the urge to write you a letter recently to just update you on your life. Little man...you amaze me every day with your resiliency and your ability to smile through almost anything.  It's really inspiring.  I admire so much about you.  You are so happy...all the time.  You always have a smile, a hug, or a kiss for me.
This winter has been rough for you.  You completed your feeding program in December; however, we are still going up to Baltimore biweekly for therapy.  You have finally started eating whole cheerios, but it isn't without a fight.  I'm sorry we have to restrain you.  We don't want to, but we have to help you learn to move the food around in your mouth and chew.  It really breaks my heart some days.  But what has made this winter even more tough are your constant ear infections.  Both of your tubes are no longer functioning and you are finally recovering from your 3rd or maybe 4th ear infection in a row.  Unfortunately, this time you ruptured an ear drum and your ear was bleeding.  That was horrible, but you were a champ!

This picture was taken after leaving the Dr's office.  You are seriously always this happy.  I feel so lucky to be your mommy.  You have taught me so much ...mainly patience, which I was (and still am) reluctant to learn.
This morning, you came in my room when I was getting ready for work and we brushed our teeth together.  Just the little things that I can share with you make my day so special.
You have brought us so much joy, laughter, and pure happiness.  Your smile is infectous and your laughter contageous.  You sing and dance with no inhabitions and you love with everything you have.  You even love your sister.

I love watching you two together...holding hands...hugging...singing and dancing together.  It is so precious and melts my heart.  I hope you always remember how much you love each other and how much we love you.
I love you forever,
Mommy

So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

I'm linking up with Shannon today for So What Wednesday.  This week, I'm saying so what if...

  • Our house is still in complete chaos.  I just don't have the time or energy during the work week to unpack (there is still a mattress on our dining room table).
  • I just finished my breakfast (donut, bacon, and a coke) and I'm still hungry.
  • I LOVE the Justin Timberlake/Jimmy Fallon video that my husband sent me on FB so much that I've watched it like 3 times already.  I love old school rap and I love JT.  Win win.
  • If keep looking at fabric as if I am going to sew/make something.  We all know I can't do either very well.  I just can't rationalize spending $400 on a tufted headboard when they look so easy to make.
  • I still haven't watched the bachelor season finale.  I know what happens though...  hopefully this weekend I can find some time.
What are you saying so what to this week?

Trendy Tots - Mini Me Style

My kids LOVE to dress alike.  They call it being "mini me".  Mia especially loves it and asks if we can buy matching clothes all the time.  We only have a few things, but here are a couple of pictures.

Hanna Andersson has a few cute options for matching clothes.  They are comfy and hold up well.  I bought Mia the same dress in a size larger so she can wear it again this year as well.  We also have these outfits in grey and yellow, but I can't find the pictures.

We also have matching PJ's.  Children's place has some awesome deals right before or right after Christmas.  We always stock up for the following year.

What's a cute outfit without a great ride, right?

My husband built this using the body of a jeep that wasn't working anymore.  He just attached the stroller handles to it and bam....a jeep wagon.  We do plan to paint the wheels though.

The kids love their motorized jeep.  We are looking forward to Spring weather again!

What are your kids looking forward to wearing or riding this spring?  Link up and tell us!

House Progress

If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen these pictures already.  We are still unpacking, but we did manage to put the kid's rooms and the playroom together.  Here is a sneak peak.

The pictures are lopsided, but I framed some book covers for above their book case.  The black dots are chalkboard decals.  There are 4 of them.

Mia loves for me to hang her artwork from school so I thought I'd create an art gallory.  Now I just have to find a way to keep the corkboard in the frames.  BTW...Gorilla glue doesn't work on that.  I'm up for suggestions.

This is one of Mia's closets (she has 2).  This one has her summer dresses and shoes.  Ignore the sleeping bag at the top.  I don't know why it isn't folded.  The bin is full of dress up clothes and accessories.

Pax got a ball pit for his room.  He loved the one at feeding therapy so much, I couldn't resist.  He also loves to wear his helmet.  Crazy kid.

Though we were busy unpacking most of the weekend, we did manage to get outside and enjoy the nice weather.  I'm so happy that we have a large flat driveway now!  The kids love it too.

Life at the new house

Day 2 in our new house and we have no cable, no Internet, no home phone, and a big fat mess. Calgon take me away... Anyone want to come to MD and help?
