I've seriously heard it all....

January Jones is eating her placenta.  Have you all read about this in people magazine?  I am obviously behind on things as this was last months news; however, I read this at lunch and nearly lost my grilled cheese. 

50 Shades of Grey

Oh My Gosh...seriously guys, if you have not read this series, I highly recommend picking it up.  Even if you don't like reading...I promise, this will hold your interest.  They are erotic thrillers (kinda thrillers I guess) and everyone is talking about them.  The movie rights have just been purchased, and I for one, cannot wait to hear who will be cast in the roles.  I have a few people in mind.  You can read about some other choices at the link below on people.com

Here are my thoughts:
Christian Grey:

My first choice is Chase Crawford.  He's hot.  He's the right age and I think he could play the role well.

My 2nd Choice is Chris Pine.  I have no idea who he is, but really...does it matter?  He's hot.

Last, but certainly not least, Ryan Gossling.  Need I say more?

It was harder to think about who would be good in the role of Anastasia Steele.  Here are my top choices.

Amanda Seyfried.  She would need brown hair for the role, but I think she'd be a good Ana.

Emmy Rossom has the look as well and is also not too "well-known". 

Lastly, Lilly Collins would be my 3rd choice.  She also has the look that I picture for Ana.

For Mrs. Robinson (Elena), I feel like the obvious choice is Kim Cattrall.  I really can't picture anyone else doing this role justice.

For Ana's friend, Kate, I picture Blake Lively, but I think any young blonde actress would do ok in this role.

So What Wednesday

-If I check my favorite blogs and email everyday before I do anything else. 
-If I have spent way too much money already this month on clothes that I do not need.  Every time the weather changes, I want new clothes and the spring stuff out this year is so cute! 
-If I have already marked my calendar for 8am next Tuesday morning so I can buy Bret Michaels concert tickets.  I loved him back in the 80's and 90's.  Hopefully, he will play his old stuff. 
-If I am obsessed with the 50 shades of grey trilogy.  I've been reading articles on the movie ever since I finished reading the serious (which I read in a week btw--all 3 books). 
-If I have already finished my breakfast and I'm debating on going downstairs to buy a second donut.  I am still hungry and it was so delicious.

Easter Festivities

Yesterday, the children participated in the morning worship service at church.  Mia's class sang a song.  Of course, I was in the front row recording every second.  This is Mia and her friend, Anna singing along with the rest of the 2-4 year olds.  How cute are they?

After the morning worship service, the kids all went outside for an Easter egg hunt.  They had so much fun!

This is Mia hunting eggs.  This girl was on a mission.  She knew there was candy inside.

Paxton is a ladies man.  He had the girls bringing eggs to him!

Paxton was more interested in the slides and tunnels.  When you that cute....you don't need candy and eggs.

Both kids played on the playground after the egg hunt.

They both collected a lot of eggs, which means....candy for mama!  I love Easter!

My Birthday Wish List

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks.  ugh....I'm getting old.  The only good thing about another birthday is hopefully, I'll get to sleep in that day.  No wait...it's a Monday and I have to work.  Nevermind.  The weekend before is shot too as my husband is getting a Vasectomy so I'll be on kid duty.  But...there's always my gift wish list :).  So, without further adew, this is what I'm wishing for this year (unfortunate, we are not rich, so this is literally, my "wish" list).

1.  Apothocary Jars from Pottery Barn.  I want these sooo bad.  I also want the monogram "N" on the x-tra large one. 

2.  JCrew Chinos.  How cute are these?

3.  I hate jumping on the bandwagon, but these skinny jeans are super cute. 

4.  I LOVE baseball tees.  I also love baseball :).  This one in orange and white from JCrew is super cute!

5. Super cute skirt from Anthropologie.  I love yellow.

Easter 2012

While you may not agree with me on this, we have decided to not "do" the Easter Bunny.  I don't think it's terrible to have fun traditions including the Easter Bunny (both of our parents did), but we have chosen not to.  My children will still get Easter baskets, have Easter egg hunts, etc...we just won't be talking about or taking pictures with the Easter bunny.  Instead, we will be doing things to celebrate Jesus's ressurection.  Here are a few ideas that I found on Pinterst and am working on now for the kids:

Instead of your typical "advent" calendars, I'm going to use eggs to tell stories about Jesus.  I'm not doing it exactly how it was in this blog, but I'm using the same general ideas.  One egg will have gold fish as we talk about how Jesus fed 5000 people.  A couple eggs will have a page to color and a story about it.  Some will have jelly beans as we talk about what the colors of the jelly beans mean. I'm not sure about the rest yet, but this will be our Easter project this year.  The last egg will talk about the gifts that Jesus gives us.  From there, I'll tell my kids how much we love them and got them gifts for Easter as well.  Hopefully, they will not be too disappointed when all of their friends talk about the Easter bunny.  I just want to make sure my kids know what Easter is all about.  Do you have any special Easter traditions?  Even if it involves the Easter bunny, I'd love to hear about them!

This week, I'm saying so what ...

• If I've done absolutely nothing except read the first 2 books of the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy.  Seriously guys....these books are so good.  I'm on book 3 now and I just started book 1 last Friday.  I highly recommend checking them out. 
• If I stood in line (after having tickets already) for 1 hour with a bunch of teenagers waiting for Hunger Games to start.  Thankfully, Chris was a great sport (and loved the movie btw). 
• If I'm now cutting my own bangs in an effort to save time.  I guess one of the downfalls of having bangs is they grow fast.
• If I have 3 different bottles of shampoo in my shower at any given time.  I like a variety and I hate using the same kind every day.
