Right now, our finances are not where we need them to be. We have a lot going on and a lot of unexpected costs. We put our house on the market a few months ago, when we had some extra cash and have been working on buying a short sale. Since that time, we’ve had some unforeseen expenses including a home inspection for the new house, Paxton’s medical bills for the feeding clinic and cardiology follow up, my colonoscopy bill, our car and van both need new breaks, I had to pay the rest of our payment on the house we rented for vacation, etc. Just a lot. We are also still paying for Paxton to do to daycare even though he is in the feeding clinic for the next 5 weeks. It’s a lot. We are stressed. So, I thought it would be helpful for me and for you if I made a list of ways you can save money and maybe earn a little too in the process.
1. Ebates. If you are an online shopper like me, ebates will be your new best friend. You get money back for shopping! To register, click on the link below and every time you shop, just go through ebates first. You can a percentage back on your total and once a quarter, you get a big fat check! It’s so easy!
2. Swagbucks. Swagbucks is an easy way to earn gift cards and prizes. Basically, you can use them as a search engine and earn “bucks” or you can watch swag tv (great place for entertainment news or any news) or you can take one of their online polls or surveys. 3. My points. This is a cross between ebates and swagbucks. You can earn points and cash them in for gift cards. You can earn points by shopping, searching the web, completing surveys, or playing games. www.mypoints.com
4. Sassy Steals has a great deal for referring friends. I shop there all the time and now…every time you refer a friend, you can receive $.50 cash or $1.00 store credit for every new email sign up. 5. Gas points. We save a lot of money by shopping at Giant (Safeway does it too as well as other stores I’m sure). We tend to spend a lot of money thus earning points quick! For every $100 you spend, you get 10 cents off per gallon at Shell. This week, when we filled up, we got 50 cents off. Not bad…

I swear by Ebates! LOVE it so much! I mean if you are shopping anyway you may as well get paid to do it!
